Seniors

As seniors on the move our needs change.  I hope that I will be able to provide you with good information and helpful websites to visit.  My goal, of course, is to become the person you call when you are ready to make your move and the person you refer your friends and family to, as well.

Over the years, I've collected links to websites that might be of interest.  If you are interested in consumer protection or want to get more information on health care, identity theft, medicaid, The Do Not Call list or need to file a complaint....you can get a good start on the
Attorney Generals website.  The Social Security Administration has come a long way and has a very user friendly online site.  Check it out if you are interested in retirement benefits, replacing a missing card, supplemental security income, finding an office, reporting fraud, waste or abuse and many more related issues.  Pennsylvania's Office of the Aging provides you with local resources, health & wellness information, home & community based services and prescription assistance (PACE).

Todays seniors don't necessarily want to be tied to that oversized home and all the upkeep that goes along with it.  Some options you may be considering are moving in with a family member, an apartment or condo, perhaps 1 floor living in the form of a ranch house with less land to care for.  Another great possibility are apartments or homes that are a part of a seniors community.  Walnut Woods in Boyertown provides Studio, 1 & 2 bedroom apartments, meals, guest apartment, transportation, exercise equipment, beauty/barber shop and a travel program just to name a few of their amenities.  Learn more by visiting their website.  I recently toured the campus of The Heritage of Green Hills.  What a lovely place!  It almost seems to me that you might not have to leave the campus grounds.  They seem to have everything.  One and two bedroom apartments and villas with up to 3 bedrooms, some include a garage, 2 restaurants, doctor's offices, a bank, day spa, concierge service, business center, art studios, woodworking, a health club that even has a pool.  I could go on and on.  It might be best if you took a look at the website for additional information.

I hope you book mark my website and use it as a source of information.  I will of course be adding additional sites as I come across them.  Feel free to call or email me with any questions or suggestions.  I look forward to helping you with your real estate needs.
